Happy New Year!

I have been working on a picture since 8 tonight, but then changed to this picture at 11, because the other one was bad. This is a New Years Present to all of you, I will work on it more tomorrow.

Wow, thanks for all of the s, they are very much appreciated. I did some more work on it yesterday, but then my stylus started acting up so I stopped to restart my computer.

This is the final version, I have not counted how many hours I spent on it, but it is more than 5 hours.

This is based of Neytiri from Avatar, but isn't an exact copy. I really like the way her hair turned out.

The process of this picture is that I started from black and painted up, adding more to the picture. I wanted her bioluminescence to stand out, which is why I put so much contrast on it. Do you think it looks like it is glowing? If not do you have any ideas how to make it glow? Also, I originally had a sort of tree in the background on the right side, but I removed it because I thought it distracted from the face. Do you think more of a background is necessary? Any other tips would also be appreciated.
